I have been searching for good materials for use in 3D modeling and there does not seem to be much guidance when it came to making good materials. Many tutorials are either very shallow or cover only how to use a simple built-in feature. They often fails some of the most important in order to learn to independently make good materials, which is analysis.

For some materials, the procedure and analysis are of course simple, but for the materials which are not pure, there are usually some very complex compositions of nodes that are not straightforward. In this blog I will try to give a deep description of the materials that I make or find.

You can find the various tutorials for materials under the pull down menu or click on an image for a material.
